Karin & Alan 3.23.13 I Hotel

Ballsrud Reception 3.23.13 013

Karin and Alan had their ceremony and reception at the I Hotel. The ceremony took place in a portion of the Illinois Ballroom which was divided by an air wall. Their aisle runner and our white floor-to-ceiling backdrop looked incredible.

We also provided amber uplighting and white polyester chair covers with charcoal satin sashes.

Karin and Alan had approximately 230 guests. The room looked beautiful! We added some color to the room with light blue uplighting. The same backdrop that was used for the ceremony was also used for their reception. They had a sweetheart table which sat in front of the backdrop.

All of the tables were decorated with the I Hotel’s white tablecloths and black napkins. The same chairs that were used for the ceremony were brought in for guest seating during the reception.

Their cake was displayed on our satin charcoal linen and spotlighted in the middle of the dance floor until the cake cutting. A small Batman was hidden in the back of the cake. Were not sure of the significance of the Batman, but we like the idea of surprising your groom and adding this personal touch!

The front of the cake featured their initials within a circle design cascading down each layer of cake. This was a very unique idea rather than a traditional cake topper. When the cake was removed, Karin and Alan shared their first dance under the spotlight. We wish you guys the best!
