Ashton & Sam 10.1.11 Champaign Country Club

There were so many unique touches at this wedding. They had their cocktail hour outside in a tent, and arrived in a firetruck!

Guests made their way inside to the ballroom around 6:00 where dinner was served, the cake was cut, and toasts were given. Ashton and Sam had about 230 guests.  Their head table was placed in the middle of the room which you can see to the left of the below picture. The centerpieces were gorgeous!

Amber uplighting seems to be the popular color choice for weddings at the Champaign Country Club. We always suggest it because it is so elegant and inviting and compliments the wall sconces and chandeliers beautifully! As soon as everyone finished dinner and dessert, dancing began in the mixed grille area in the back. For that room, we provided green uplighting for a more dramatic dance atmosphere.

This was such an awesome idea.. Ashton and Sam had small areas set up where guests could sit down and socialize. In these areas, they added several personal touches, such as green and yellow pillows, which were their wedding colors, photos, and even a popcorn lamp! The idea was to create an upscale “movie theater” atmosphere.

The best part….the movie starred the happy couple and it was titled “A Wedding to Remember”. They even had popcorn and candy. One of the coolest ideas we’ve ever seen! If that wasn’t enough, guests could enjoy a late night snack at 10:30 which was Zelma’s pizza!

This certainly was a “Wedding to Remember!” Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Freeland!
