Kristi & Danny 12.18.10 Decatur Conference Center

This was a huge wedding for us! Kristi and Danny had nearly 500 guests. Their December reception was in the Holiday Hall at the Decatur Conference Center. The ceremony was also at the Decatur Conference Center in the MLK ballroom. We provided the sound system for the ceremony. Some of their special songs included “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “From This Moment On,” and  “Bless the Broken Road.” Their colors were champagne, black and claret red, which turned out to be absolutely gorgeous! We did ivory polyester chair covers with black satin sashes and black polyester tablecloths. There were red roses and champagne accents throughout the entire room.

Kristi and Danny’s cake was beautifully displayed on a black pintuck tablecloth. With the red accents and a spotlight, the cake made for a beautiful focal point! They chose “How Sweet It Is” for their cake cutting song. We also did a tan backdrop behind their head table and added amber uplighting around their custom monogram. These pictures also display how a cake spot can be used for special dances later in the evening. Here the happy couple share their first dance as husband and wife to “Crazy Love” by Michael Buble.

In addition to the amber uplighting, we also did accents of red on each column in the room to create a more dramatic look. Kristi and Danny had two video screens where we had put “Congratulations Kristi and Danny.”  Later, guests watched a photo montage of the couple on the video screens. This wedding was filled with many special events throughout the evening. Kristi’s grandparents celebrated their 51st anniversary on the 19th. Kristi and Danny presented them with a small anniversary cake and asked that we play “Remember When” by Alan Jackson. What a sweet idea! Kristi and Danny were great to work with. We wish them all the best in their new marriage!
