Lindsey & Jason 9.4.10 Refinery

Lindsey and Jason had a big party crowd. So their reception started at 4:00 and went until 11:00. The Refinery is a cool space because of the entire wall of windows. The room was bright during the afternoon, so you could see all of their linens and centerpieces, and it was brighter for dinner. Then, as the sun went down, you could see the lighting more, and it turned into a party atmosphere. They did white stretch covers, royal blue satin sashes, and royal blue satin tablecloths. Jim Gould was their caterer and their photographers were Katie and Mike with K Design.

The Refinery provided the candy table for them. It was good candy too! They had serving dishes that spelled out their last name. We did runners on those tables to add more color.

We used a white backdrop to hide the doors and eletrical panel behind the head table and draw more attention to that area. Their decorator put little lights shining up on the front of the tablecloth, and the cake was elaborate and very well done by the Cake Artist’s Studio.

We did the color changing uplighting. Lindsey wanted the lights doing a slow color fade from blue to purple at first. Then we switched them to all blue for their first dance and all different colors for the open dancing. We had their monogram with a decorative design on the dance floor. Michael Jackson is Jason’s favorite artist, so they walked in to “The Way You Make Me Feel.”
